Advanced Bookings are now closed
Our next event is a weekend event beginning on Friday the 18th of March at 8pm and lasting until Sunday.
Camping: In character and out of character camping areas are available along with a limited amount of indoor accommodation. Please email the address given below for more information regarding indoor accommodation.
New Players: May borrow costume and kit for their first two events after which point they will be asked to acquire their own. If you are a new player looking at attending your first refuge event please let us know by emailing the following address.

Event Costs and Advanced Payment Discounts
Players can take advantage of our Advanced Payment Discounts by paying for an event in advance. Doing so saves the player £5 (per person). This offer will finish the Monday preceding each event so ensure you remember to take advantage of this offer. Refunds will not be given but the event payment may be transferred to another individual. All advance payments are done though paypal.

The Melting Pot is a gaming club run at the wilderness every Friday. The definition of 'games club' as opposed to 'war games club' is an important one as we will do not focus specifically on war games. It is our hope that we will be able to play any game people are interested in bringing along.
Games are usually arranged a week in advance. The club is not exclusive to Refuge members and players of any age are welcome.
We already have a large number of different games such as Munchkin, Chez Geek, Mordheim, Space Hulk, Warhammer 40k, Warhammer Fantasy Battles, Necromunda, Gork-morka, Banana, Risk (various types), RPG's (various).
In addition to this we are looking at running LAN parties and console (ps2, x360, xbox, DS and wi) link ups as well as B-movie competitions and anything else people suggest.
There is limited crash space for those of you who have to travel. There is a £2 charge most of which will go towards buying new equipment for the club. Models can be leant for use within the club for certain war games etc and a painting and modelling station is available at the club ready for members to use.

Active Kids Wales runs a number of events for the families of young children and teenagers, from a monthly Kids LARP to DIY, ICT, Drama and Dance tuition to themed children's parties and activities. All such events are run by qualified teaching professionals and a team of trusted and experienced police checked staff. Please see the website for additional details.
